To Ignite the Stars Deleted Scene: Future's Holdings

Don't get too excited now, people ... this is unfortunately not another chapter of To Ignite the Stars, although damned if I don't wish it was. I'm having a real fight with Chapter 18 and the various battle/action scenes contained therein, so until I sort those out (hopefully within the next couple days), there won't be an update.

But for those of you who aren't members at the Obidala Fan Forum - or who are but don't mind reading this again - I can offer up a little deleted scene from Chapter 15. Before you go yelling, "Good grief, why on earth did you cut this scene???" (as a certain Ladybug at the Forum did), let me explain. At the point this scene would have occurred, Chapter 15 was already over 7,000 words long, and 5,000-6,000 is pretty much my limit as to how long I think these chapters should be. So I had to rearrange the outline a little, move some material over to the next chapter and chop some other stuff, and unfortunately the tub scene had to go. But hey, what's Christmas without a few surprises here and there? I thought some of you would like being surprised with a little smut. XD

Title: Future's Holdings
Fandom/Pairing: Star Wars/Obidala (Obi-Wan Kenobi/Padmé Amidala)
Written For: Technically, To Ignite the Stars, but I made it fit the 12 Days of Obidala Christmas @ the Obidala Fan Forum and my fanfic50 claim.
Prompt: #005 Destiny
Characters: Obi-Wan, Padmé
Word Count: 600
Rating: NC-17 for sexual scenes
Summary: During their vacation on Naboo, Obi-Wan and Padmé take a bath and make some plans for their future.
Author’s Notes: This is the second TIS deleted scene (the first being the Phantom Menace one I posted earlier), occurring as it does during the time that Obi-Wan and Padmé are visiting Naboo as a couple for the first time. I have to admit I stole the bathtub idea rather shamelessly from lazypadawan, heh. The difference here is that I’ve put a decidedly Obidala-ish spin on it.

“Come on in!” Padmé beckoned her love as she slid further down into the tub. “The water’s fine.”

“I don’t doubt it,” Obi-Wan smiled. “Anything with you in it is much more than fine.”

Slowly, seductively, he slid the last layer of his tunics down over his hips, letting it drop to the floor. The water made only the faintest of splashes as Obi-Wan set first one leg, then the other on the porcelain bottom, cautiously lowering himself to Padmé’s level.

She grinned, sliding towards him and kissing him softly. He returned the kiss, letting his tongue mingle with hers and breaking the action only when the need for oxygen became desperate.

“You know,” remarked Obi-Wan, “I’m not sure if I’ve ever taken a bath with another being before.”

“I used to take baths with my sister.” Padmé pillowed her head against his chest, relaxing into him. “But that’s not at all the same thing. I’ve never taken a bath solely for the purposes of romance before.”

Obi-Wan shook his head. “I can only imagine what Anakin would say if he saw this. He’s so averse to bathing, and showering. Thinks it’s a waste of water simply to clean yourself. What he’d say to a romantic bath …”

He let the sentence dangle, and both chuckled.

“I suppose that must be common, coming from a desert planet.”

“Indeed. I practically had to bribe him to bathe when he was younger. He’d go for weeks without it.”

Padmé sighed happily, thinking of Anakin, of her parents, of the wonderful trip they were having so far. A year ago she would never have believed that she could be sitting here, in a bathtub at Varykino, leaning on Obi-Wan and having him love her just as much as she loved him. But it was here, and it was real, and she wanted to savour every minute of it.

“Let’s predict the future,” she grinned up at him. “You start.”

This was a popular game, begun on the transport to Naboo the previous day. To play it, they would simply describe what their future lives would be like, when there was no war, no politics, no Master Kenobi and Senator Amidala, just Obi-Wan and Padmé and their freedom to do whatever they wished.

Obi-Wan kissed her again, sliding down so that she was on top of him. “In the future,” he began, “we’ll live right here at Varykino.”

“And we’ll sleep in every day,” she continued, nibbling at his neck.

“And we’ll go on picnics near the waterfalls, and camp-outs in the evening.” He pulled her towards him, gently grinding their bodies together. His erection brushed her teasingly.

“And we’ll visit my parents every weekend, and Ryoo and Pooja will come here for school holidays.” Padmé locked eyes with Obi-Wan before directing his member inside her.

“And –” Obi-Wan gasped with pleasure, momentarily unable to speak. “And we’ll … do this … every night …”

She began moving up and down in a gentle rhythm, water splashing around them. “And we’ll have two children.”

“Three,” he whispered. “Want three.”

The pace became faster as their arousal peaked, and neither spoke for several moments as they thrust in concert with each other. He reclining, she on top, caressing one another lovingly and desperately, each thinking of their imagined future.

She whispered his name as she came, and he arrived several moments later, grasping her hips.

“And …” Padmé said softly. “And we’ll be happy. So very happy.”

“Yes.” Obi-Wan took her into his arms again, cuddling her against his body. “Above all, we’ll be happy.”
